KL. SE Asia

Jan 1, 2013

The SE Asian cities I have been to are Hong Kong (one night), Tokyo, Osaka and Singapore. All are gleaming megacities. KL is rather more, well, grungy, slightly grubby.

I am guessing KL is closer to the typical S.E. asian city. The Bukit Bitang neighbourhood where I am staying has many small hotels and outdoor restaurants. I guess this is “traditional” than HK. However, it sends that the concrete buildings are close by. Again I guess the government would not be sad to see this old neighbourhood swept away and replaced by a place of gleaming modernity. As usual, where would the local people go?
