All quiet on the shed front

Sep 20, 2013

Checking the shed during the rain, it seems most likely that the leaks are sure to the butt joints in the exterior cladding. such joints are unavoidable unless cladding the length of the side are found . today I left the doors of the shed wide open as there was some sunshine and the floors are drying well although around the hints there is still a damp feeling. My approach wil be two fold. I will try to inject a thin bead of mastic in the gap and try to force it in, hoping it penetrates deep into the gap between the boards. I will also put up some narrow guttering intended for shed to yet to lessen the amount of water running down the face of the shed. The every gap will be filled with exterior frame sealant, intended fit door frames and windows .
